Embedded content from other websites

Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites. We will clearly indicate such content. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Comments

At present, comments by visitors is not enabled. If this is enabled, then the privacy policy re: which data is collected, how and for how long it is stored/shared/etc. will be provided here.

Contribution Policy

We accept contributions that add on to the Social Change Package (SCP), provided that they meet the following requirements:

  • Submitted content must be related to at least one of the Calls to Action (https://scp.eecs.yorku.ca/cta-bundle-set/social-change-package-calls-to-action/)
  • Submitted content is hosted on a website that can be accessed through a link
    • The website must have a manager and the manager must respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Submitted content must not be offensive or spam
  • Submittees must own the copyright to the submitted content (if there is copyright) 
  • Submittees relinquish ownership of content once submitted 
  • Submittees give consent to have their name and basic contact info published by organization 

Please note that accepted submitted content will be published (i.e. not confidential). Organizations will gain permission to modify, license, or publish derivative work based on the submitted content. Submitted content can be used for free by users of the SCP but cannot be used commercially.

Depositing a Shareable

  • We can accept links to content hosted elsewhere, provided that:
    • It connects to one of the Calls to Action
    • It either (1) connects/aligns with an extant tactic OR (2) as part of the process, you share/articulate the tactic and add it to our tactic set
    • The material has an identified author
    • The Intellectual Property rights have been assigned or are signaled through copyleft (e.g., CC, or GNU or GPL e.g., “open” or “commons-based”)
    • The website must be managed by someone who responds to email
