One possible source of funding is via the government. By shifting their values and priorities, you can increase their motivation for ensuring accessible learning by offering additional resources. Gaining additional funds for Accessibility Services and placement sites would help to reduce the issues previously mentioned. Additionally, the government could offer financial incentives to employers for creating more equitable and accessible work environments. Funding is also an indicator of value, so increased funding can reduce ableism by demonstrating a commitment to the value of creating access.

- Coalition building: Joining forces with like-minded groups can be more impactful than working on this issue alone.
- Start a petition: Gaining evidence of widespread support for recommended changes can help to put pressure on decision-makers.
- Policy brief: Prepare a policy brief that outlines current shortcomings and recommended measures to improve them e.g. by allocating greater funding for HEI and placement accessibility and/or offering incentives to placement sites for increased accessibility. In addition to making education more accessible, ensuring that more students are able to participate in paid labour within the healthcare sector would help the economy and provide more workers for jobs that are currently facing a shortage.
